Our Play & Sing [Ukulele] lessons are designed for anyone in Singapore who wants to master the art of playing and singing both English and Chinese pop songs on the ukulele. Based in the heart of Bugis, our lessons prioritises instrumental fluency and coordination, teaching you how to build a rock-solid rhythmic foundation on the ukulele that supports your voice.
Unlike traditional vocal training that relies on repetitive scales and vocal drills, our approach is strictly practical and performance-based. We focus on the producer side of music, fine-tuning your ukulele strumming patterns, fingerpicking, and vocal delivery in tandem to ensure your playing and singing are perfectly synced. By focusing on pitch, dynamics, and stylistic phrasing across both elements, you will learn how to arrange a song so that your playing and singing complement each other seamlessly as one harmonious experience.

A Simple 3-Step Plan for Your Musical Journey
1. Master the Instrument:
We start by building your rhythmic foundation and developing instrumental fluency through essential ukulele techniques and chord transitions.

We teach you the sync points between your hands and your voice, making the transition to singing feel natural and effortless.

We look at your performance from a vocal producer’s perspective, fine-tuning your phrasing and dynamics for a polished, professional sound.
Beyond technique, we also show you how to find the right/best key for any song, giving you the skills to perform for friends and family with total creativity and confidence. By the end of your journey, you’ll be able to turn the songs you love into personal performances, essentially becoming your own one-man band!
Note: Progress is tailored to each individual. Students typically see significant results within approx. 8 to 16 sessions.

Do I need to own a ukulele?
Yes, we strongly encourage all students to purchase their own instruments for home practice. We recommend students to either get an entry-level soprano ukulele (21″) or concert ukulele (23″) as a start. As you improve over time, you may consider upgrading your instruments.
